Unemployment and Holiday Shoppiong

Anyone who is unemployed will tell you they live on a tighter budget. You start to think about purchases twice, and prioritize your spending. Frugal living becomes a second nature and you may look for those coupons, you never thought you will use before.

We want to hear your story!

With unemployment seemingly stuck at 9.6%, and the mid-term election behind us, I can only hope that the economy and unemployment will stay at the top of the agenda in Washington.
Rhetoric is easy during elections, but follow up and a plan to solve this crisis is quite a different thing.

Ready for testing

So our website, which will serve as the premier destination for the unemployed, is now ready for some beta users. Trust me, i am not a spammer, but rather a fellow unemployed, who decided to make a project out of it while i look for a job. It turned out to be quite fun and lots of... work! which i missed, so it was good to do. I really urge fellow unemployed to check it out and give us some feedback. We'd love nothing more than to make it better and useful for all.

A new website for the unemployed

When you are unemployed, it's quite ironic to read all the latest news about "recovery" and end of recession. For us, who are unemployed, it doesn't seem anywhere near over yet.
A good friend of mine has built a new site that is specifically for those who are unemployed. The intention is to put a positive spin on things, and look at the bright side - what can you do for fun while unemployed. Yes, none of us like it, but at least we can take advantage of the time.

I know it's always nice to connect with others who are in the same boat.
