If you need to vent or have something to tell the world, don't be shy.
Never give up... and be patient
Today's lesson is to keep moving forward no matter what. I put up the site, some people started to find it. Nobody has signed up yet. The ads that Google is displaying seem totally irrelevant -- to the point that I almost want to take them down. Boo hoo...
Then again, look at the bright side: The site's only been up for a couple of days, and it seems to be functioning well. Moreover, people are finding it. OK, well, that's pretty good. All I can do is all I can do. I'll just have to commit a little time and energy to posting my thoughts without response until somebody else decides that they want to join the conversation. Now on to the next task on the to-do list.
The point is, you can always find a reason to be depressed when you're unemployed. The trick is finding a reason to keep going. Can't speak for anyone else, but I find it helpful to simply keep on keeping on with the knowledge that things a) aren't nearly as bad as they could be -- probably not even as bad as they seem -- and b) they'll get better... or worse, but all things are temporary.
What was it Winston Churchill said? "When you're going through Hell, keep going." Something like that...
