Because capital can always chase cheaper workers, what we need is a massive, global labor movement that says, "Hey, rich dudes, we are many and you are few. Treat us right or we will shut this m*th3rf*(k3r down."

What I mean is this: Your grandfather's America had vibrant social movements... those are what made this country great, you realize:

• The American Revolution
• Abolitionism
• The Labor Movement (which gave you the weekend, and all the great benefits that allowed your grandfather to raise a family while Millie took care of the house)
• Civil Rights
• Anti-war

All of these and dozens of smaller movements were what moved us forward through history. Since Reagan, somehow we've more or less stagnated on the civic responsibility and social action front, and the country has suffered as a result.
