Never Give Up!

Aired October 22, 2010 WESH Channel 2 Television News Report, Orlando, Florida

I am hoping that my story will keep some other “laid off” person ENCOURAGED. Although it took 2 years to find another job after being “laid off” – I never stopped looking.

Please share the “link” below with anyone who may be going through what I went through for two years. Sometimes WESH Channel 2 has an “advertisement” on before the story – so please be patient for a few moments!

Inspiration - Income Sources!

Another year is drawing to an end & I have often wondered how other folks were able to general income during this very challenging year for us all.

I am hoping that we can help each other with ideas, advice and suggestions - whatever term you want to label this...

I am one that likes to LEARN how other folks are doing what I want to do, and this time, it is about "financial independence"...

Not so much about becoming rich, but getting to point that at age 53 I am not constantly wondering from "week to week" what bills will be paid(lol).

Any Success Stories?

TODAY - has anyone experienced "abundance & wealth" and if yes, how did you do it?

Reason for asking:
I do believe in the you getting what you FOCUS on, and mentally I know this - but when it comes to DAILY life (lol) - that is another story :)

I also know and have experienced TODAY, that when we "appreciate" the small blessings in our lives - more and more come our way. This one I am getting a hang at, but know I have to stay on top of this as it is so easy to slip back into my bad habit of focusing on "what I don't have"...

Now your turn...

A NEW Addition!

My boyfriend's son has left his 3-legged dog (Bobbie, female) until he can get situated at his new location - he is in the Air Force. YES, he made it back from Korea!!! Yipee...

Bobbie lost one of her back legs about 3 years ago due to chasing one of the vehicles on base.

But you know what - it has not slowed her down. When I first met her, she INSPIRED me to stop complaining about MY life.

WE are thoroughly enjoying her!

You are what You think!

Hi Everyone!

As I age, now 52, I have come to realize that the saying "you are what you think you are" is so true.

It took being laid off and on unemployment for 2 years for me to come to to this realization. Gone was my secure paycheck and life - and to be honest, my MIND is what kept me going and out of the streets.

On those days when it looked "hopeless" - I focused on PAST "dark" times in my life and KNEW that once again, I would overcome this TEMPORARY "don't want to be in" situation.

TWO more days....

Well, it is December 29th and we have 2 days for a NEW year - 2011.

I am HOPING for GREAT things and changes in the economy.

Let us not forget about the pets of the unemployed who need OUR help. If you get a chance, please visit my blog for a way to help with getting FREE food and other stuff coming their way. We have a Jack Russell Terrier by the name of Jeremiah and God has been GOOD and we have been able to keep him. But some folks have not been as fortunate and had to make the heart wrenching decision to give up their best friend - their pet.

The Hustler's Creed

For those about to rock...

I am the star and director of my own life, not a member of the crew, supporting cast, or an extra.

I understand that the only way to live the life I want is to live the life I want.

Passion fuels me but it doesn't rule me.

Reason cools me and it never fools me.

Action makes things happen for me. I have neither time nor patience for idle dreams.

The only failure is the failure to try.

Opportunities do not "present themselves" -- they are manifest.

Fear is seldom useful, and even then only when wrapped in courage.

Positive Attitude

What good is a positive attitude, anyway?

When I was deep in the throes of depression wrought from joblessness, nobody could say anything that made me feel better. In fact, I resented it. It was especially galling when some lucky gainfully employed person would say something like, "Don't worry about it Chuck. You're a smart guy. You'll find something soon."

Yeah, well, I had been looking for many moons and nothing had presented itself. Those types of words rang hollow, and not in the good way that a drum rings hollow.

One Day At A Time!

Sometimes it is very HARD to keep your eye on the prize, but we have to. Take it one day at a time, doing little things that will get you closer to your goals. Before you know it, you will have accomplished your goal. My Blog: A Story of Hope!
