UE Glimmer of Hope/Wednesday 6-30-10

Here is an article from the Associated Press. I am almost afraid to post it because this issue has been such a roller coaster ride. But here it is.

There still may be a glimmer of hope. Everyone keep praying.

Quoted from around paragraph 7 "Levin said he expects the House to vote on the bill again Wednesday. In Tuesday...'s vote, nearly all Democrats voted in favor of the bill, while most Republicans opposed it."

Keep praying, but get on the phone, too!

The more I think about this, the madder it makes me. Children are going to suffer because their parents can't put food on the table. It's just sick.

Call your reps, folks! Do it right now. Mine is on board, but those of you who live in GOP districts need to get on the phone and give them a piece of your mind. Get your rep's contact information here.

They need to pass this extension, then they need to pass a massive JOBS bill before it runs out. There is so much work to be done in this country. Our basic infrastructure needs over $1 trillion in fix-up, and we need to build a new infrastructure for a green, sustainable future. There are millions of people out of work to do this. Find the damn money, Congress! Take it from Bill Gates and his buddies if you have to, but find the money!

When life hands you sh*t, make fertilizer.

Scott Brown - Fund UE Insurance with Stimulus Money - Countering heavy criticism for his recent vote against a massive jobs bill, U.S. Sen. Scott Brown today will announce a plan to fund unemployment insurance, summer jobs and Medicaid programs via dipping into stimulus funds and cutting “unnecessary spending.” Brown, who has been getting pounded by liberal activists for a vote against a multibillion-dollar jobs bill, said his legislation wouldn’t add to the nation’s debt, unlike the plan he opposed last week.
