A little personal good news

Just thought I'd share a little good news. I registered with a temp agency this week and they called me this afternoon to give me my first assignment. It's just a one-day thing, data entry, but it's better than nothing.
Is anybody else using temp agencies? Are you finding that they can keep you busy or are there big lags between assignments?

This agency seems to be on the ball. The woman I work with there told me she's working on getting me a long-term assignment but figured I'd appreciate some short ones til then. That makes sense, and shows SOMEONE has some sense.
