kindness

I'm pissed at those who treat the unemployed like scum

I don't usually let things said by others bother me. However there are some ignorant people out there who seem to believe we(the unemployed) prefer to live on unemployment. I think everyone here knows that is incorrect, yet they look down their noses and act like we are completely worthless. These idots don't seem to realize it could happen to them. I would not wish this on anyone. But it be nice if they would realize that job they hold so dear, that nice 401K and the security they know could all be gone in the the wave of that yellow or pink slip of paper.

Why it's good to be kind

(This post doesn't have much to do with unemployment specifically so just skip over it if you're on a mission to work your way through that problem.)

Kindness is the focal point of my personal ethics. It simplifies things for me. I strive to be kind without any expectation of the same in return. You can't really go wrong from an ethical standpoint if you're just trying to be a nice person and treat other people with respect.
