Hi Everyone:

How did you find your LAST job?

Me, I used the online email addresses for the university and sent out personal emails asking for work.

Now your turn.

Thanks.

I got mine last year after

I got mine last year after volunteering. I was unemployed at the time and the organisation I was volunteering for won a grant. They offered me a position on the spot without interview etc. I was very lucky.

Hi Chris:

How did this program work out for you?

We would love to hear from you AGAIN!

Still looking

Well this month marks another 6 month stint of unemployment and I feel just as bad about it this time round. I tried volunteering again because that worked last time, but this time it hasn't. :(

Finding Flexible Employment

It's hard, I know. I've been there (for almost a year a few years ago). But it's getting better! There are work from home jobs, where you can have flexible work schedules. I just found this company, that's been around for decades, that is hiring and it's a simple online form to apply. You can work from home and it just sounds like a great opportunity! Best of luck! Does this "working from home" entail...

... posting spammy links on blogs?

99.9 percent of "work from home" "opportunities" are scams.

I graduated and was

I graduated and was unemployed for months before I found a job. I was using all my connections, got some interviews but never the job. I was applying for 10+ jobs a day. It really came down to a numbers game for me. The job I ended up getting was not through a contact or a reference or anyone I knew. I applied for the job, went through 2 rounds of interviews and got the position.

I think reach out to your connections because it can't hurt and just keep applying. I finally realized the more jobs I applied for, the more likely I would be to get a call back.

Good luck everyone! Sending out good vibes.

That's true up to a point

I finally realized the more jobs I applied for, the more likely I would be to get a call back.

If you're applying for a lot of jobs and not getting any calls back, it's time to re-evaluate your resume.
