Mother's Day!

Hi Everyone:

If you are a mom and still unemployed, I would like to encourage you to not give up the HOPE of getting back on your feet financially.

I am a mom of one child, a girl now 24 and I have ALWAYS told her "not" to buy me anything (lol). Now even more so with both of us being challenged with our finances - she has a 6 week temporary job - this message is more CRITICAL as I never want her feeling obligated to buy me something. I don't even want her buying me a card. Why not? I have raised her to treat EACH day as Mother's Day. And what do I mean by this, don't "dog me out" the rest of the year (lol).

As I age, soon to be 53 - the way folks treat me counts more than anything else.

Last night, I finally realized how LUCKY I am to be also blessed with a man that cares for me in spite of not bringing in an income into our household since the end of January this year. He has been there in "my shoes" and I was there for him. I guess the saying that what you do does come back your way. So while I continue to seek an income, I also am learning to let go and let him do his thing.

Now your turn to share with us...

Thanks,
