I am hoping that my story will keep some other “laid off” person ENCOURAGED. Although it took 2 years to find another job after being “laid off” – I never stopped looking.

Jobs in America now are scarce, working for the government is not only a great way to secure my job but makes for a very interesting job!

While a true-blue capitalist at heart, I believe that in a perfect society the majority of people would work in the public sector, paid a lowly public servant's wage (with gold-plated benefits, of course).

The job market in the US is bad, but I feel that it's worse in Europe right now. It certainly makes you think less about finding a job that will make you the most money, and simply finding a job which offers security.
